Sydney Lemos was the son of painters William and Mabel Lemos. He studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art. After service in World War One, he lived in Santa Cruz. In the 1930's, he moved to Alameda. In 1944, he died in Napa, just two years after the death of his father.
