The Eastern Sierra was one of Joshua Meador's favorite painting excursion destinations. As a young teen growing up in Columbus, Mississippi in the 1920's, Josh whitewashed a painting of mountains on the inside wall of his father's garage. We speculate that the reason he painted mountains on his dad's garage wall was because to Meador, they were exotic. Mississippi is not known for its mountains.
