Josh always had divided his artistic life between his professional life as Walt Disney Studios Director of Animation Effects and his life as a fine art painter. When he was in LA, he was there for his job at Disney Studios. Whenever his studio schedule permitted, Josh left the LA Basin on painting excursions, often filling his woody station wagon and tear drop trailer with camping gear and painting supplies and heading out with his wife Libby and son Philip. But there were of course, smaller bits of time which gave Josh some free time. On these occasions, he painted scenes closer to his La Crescenta home.
